"Time and Music" Workshop at the International Academy Traunkirchen
Talks by H. günter Dosch and Hans J. Specht (Heidelberg University) on acoustic illusions and by P. Grünberg (Nobel Prize in Physics 2007, forschungszentrum Jülich) on harmony in Alpine music.
Already several weeks before the retreat, students from different research groups will team up and will be briefed to build unconventional music instruments from components normally used in their experiments. The instruments will be presented at the retreat in the course of a short concert.
