Directions

1. From Westbahnhof (West Railway Main Station) ...
   ... take the underground U3 directed "Simmering" to Schlachthausgasse station, walk up the Markhofgasse exit and get on one of the buses 77A (direction Lusthaus) or 80A (direction Praterstern) for two stations to Schüttelstraße station. You can as well walk via Schlachthausgasse and Stadionbrücke, this will take about ten minutes.
2. From Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station)...
   ... take the tramway 18 directed "Schlachthausgasse" to the end of the line (Schlachthausgasse - U3). From there, get on one of the buses 77A (direction Lusthaus) or 80A (direction Praterstern) for two stations to Schüttelstraße station. You can as well walk via Schlachthausgasse and Stadionbrücke, this will take about ten minutes.
3. From the city centre ...
   ... use one of the downtown stations (Herrengasse, Stephansplatz, Stubentor) directed "Simmering" to Schlachthausgasse station. Walk up the Markhofgasse exit and get on one of the buses 77A (direction Lusthaus) or 80A (direction Praterstern) for two stations to Schüttelstraße station. You can as well walk via Schlachthausgasse and Stadionbrücke, this will take about ten minutes.
4. From the Schwechat Airport (VIE) ...
   ... take the City Airport Train (CAT: follow the green sign posts) to the City Air Terminal near the Hilton Hotel and change to the underground U3 directed "Simmering", going to Schlachthausgasse station. Walk up the Markhofgasse exit and get on one of the buses 77A (direction Lusthaus) or 80A (direction Praterstern) for two stations to Schüttelstraße station. You can as well walk via Schlachthausgasse and Stadionbrücke, this will take about ten minutes.
   In case you prefer going by taxi cab, be prepared for costs of about 30 EUR. Driving with a rented car, take the A4 (airport highway) from the airport in Vienna direction, following it to the "Erdberg" exit. Turn right to enter the Stadionallee, at the right after the bus stop is the institute gateway.
5. From the Westautobahn (West Highway)...
   ... change at "Steinhäusl" to the A21 (Außenringautobahn, west-south by-pass highway) that meets the A2 Südautobahn near "Brunn am Gebirge". Following the A2 in Vienna direction leads you to the A23 (Südosttangente, south-east tangent highway). Leave the A23 at the Prater junction direction "Zentrum" and take the "Erdberg" exit. Turn right to enter the Stadionallee, at the right after the bus stop is the institute gateway.
6. From the Südautobahn (South Highway) ...
   ... drive in Vienna direction until you attain the A23 (Südosttangente, south-east tangent highway). Leave the A23 at the Prater junction direction "Zentrum" and take the "Erdberg" exit. Turn right to enter the Stadionallee, at the right after the bus stop is the institute gateway.
7. Coming from the north or south ...
   ... (A22 Donauuferautobahn [Danube banks highway] or A23 Südosttangente [south-east tangent highway]) follow your way heading towards "Graz-Linz" to the Prater junction, where you leave direction "Zentrum", then take the "Erdberg" exit. Turn right to enter the Stadionallee, at the right after the bus stop is the institute gateway.
